The Academy of Tucson Multi-purpose Building is used to house indoor sporting events. The dramatic geometries of the project are both the result of structural necessity and of the desire to harvest rainwater from the vast roofscape. The materials palette is intended to pay homage to the school colors of the Academy of Tucson.
